I’ve made boutique outfits, sheets, costumes, crafts and one time I even went so far as to make a quilt for a queen size bed. The quilt was the most time commitment. It took me weeks. I cut out all the log cabin pieces and then one-by-one sewed them into their place. From there I filled it and then hand-quilted it. I loved the results, but decided quilting was tedious work.

If I had to confess one thing in this post it would be that I have an addiction for fabric. I can wander a fabric store for hours. I love the colors, the prints, the textures. I love it all. Brylane Home takes my obsession and blends it all together in their Virginia quilt.
Before I show you the pictures, Miss M and I discussed I was getting a new quilt. She said, “Let me guess. It has red, green, cream and flowers?” My daughter knows me all too well.
Okay, so the red is actually more of a burgundy and the green, a sage. There’s also gold and a rust color that just wows.
While the Brylane Home Virginia quilt it is not hand-stitched, you won’t miss it with the Vermicelli stitching and attention to detail.
I’m madly in love with the flower border (and theme throughout) and adore the scalloped edges. It gives it character and charm and makes it truly a focal point in my bedroom.
The quilt itself is gorgeous. The moment Miss M saw it on my bed she said, “Mom, it looks like you took Fall and put it all in your room!”
The Brylane Home Virgina quilt features a beautiful floral star that seems to bloom from the center of the bed. The color complement one another and stand out against the creamy white background.
